Commission a Painting
Would you like a one of a kind, original portrait? Buying a commission is a time-honored gift for any occasion. Marlon Tobias desires to educate about and expand access to art for clients and the community.
Marlon Tobias offers 3 sizes and two media (gouache and oil and canvas) to choose from for your commissioned artwork:
Gouache from picture (pronounced “gwash” - is an opaque watercolor, a type of watermedia.
8”x 8” gouache painting is $150 (1 person maximum in painting) (standard framing included)
11” x 14 gouache painting is $300 (maximum 2 person maximum in painting) (standard framing included)
16”x 24” gouache painting $450 (maximum 3 person maximum in painting) (standard framing included)
Acrylic on Canvas from picture
18" x 24" painting is $675 (maximum 2 people in painting) (frame not included)
24" x 30" painting is $800 (maximum 5 people in painting) (frame not included)
30” x 40” painting is $1250 (6+ people in painting) (frame not included)
For works that combine elements from multiple pictures or include additional conceptual elements:
A $30/hour consulting fee is added to cover agreeing on the appropriate concept (maximum of 5 hours)
How to place an order:
Contact Marlon Tobias via email or the from provided below to schedule a virtual, in person or phone consultation.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm a commission.
Paintings are from photos provided by you the client. Provide 3 – 5 photos to choose from.
Photos should be large and clear to see detailed features.
After deposit is received, an estimated date of completion will be determined
A "work in progress" set of photos will be shared with you (the client) after which, the second payment will be requested.
Final payment requested upon shipment.
Business transactions are on-line by way of PayPal, CashApp, or Venmo.
